Time flies, baby Xavy is ONE year old! It is really “time flies” for me to know that the little baby boy grew up so fast! It has been nothing but pleasure watching this little man grow. I decided to set his first birthday party theme as “Time Flies”. Same as previous parties we done, everything was DIYed again, including the food and party decor! I had so much fun customizing every detail of the party decor!
This time we also changed the layout of tables and arranged the dessert table in front of the entrance.
I also customized the labels for the water bottles. I put the water bottles in the little suitcase which was inspired by one of the pinterest ideas.
Yes, I baked the cupcakes again with same recipes I have done for hundred times. Instead of topping with icing or frosting, I just added the cupcake toppers with Xavy’s face. I also made the panda sandwiches. The panda sandwiches was done together with Zaanse ~
I also made the jelly with colourful fruits, they were so simple to make and the kids like it!
The rainbow birthday cake is bought from Prima Deli, I requested them not to add the frosting on top. I just wanted a plain white rainbow cake so that I can design my own cake topper ~ It’s cute, isn’t it?
Overall look of the dessert table ~
The backdrop was the first thing I designed in this party package and daddy Kenji also helped a lot on this. We used few pieces of A4 papers to make the big airplane, the airplane clipart was downloaded from internet and we designed the final product. I also bought this table clothes with the gift card from IKEASGBLOG project we collaborated with IKEA few months ago.
The other corner is the cooked food we prepared including the butter rice with raisins and cashew nuts, chicken with celery and assorted vegetables.
So, this is the Zoom out view of the cooked food corner and dessert table.
I used the party hat (made in Korea) and customize one of the party hat with Xavy’s photo. Yes, this is his party hat!
His birthday, 21st September …
I also got a airplane bodysuit for the birthday boy, it matched the theme!
These kids were assigned to play with the birthday boy, ha ~
A photo with daddy Kenji.
And of course me, birthday boy mummy.
Yes, it is time to sing the birthday song for baby Xavy.
Let’s blow the candle together!
Cakes cutting session, everyone favourite time :p
Zaanse got along well with Mandy, both of them sticked together all the time.
Zaanse treated Mandy as big sister and she was well taken care by Mandy as well.
Let’s look at her brother, always the same expression.
Our party guests …
Some of the guests were playing with the children in Zaanse’s room.
Thanks to my friends for helping out to take care the kids.
Ivan’s parent and he was going to be a big brother soon!
The boys and the mess, as always.
The two girls looked so sweet, they behaved totally different with the boys.
The other room, was occupied with older children.
My sister boyfriend, hehe …
Daddy Kenji was showing the kids how to do panda sandwitches.
Dear Xavy, I hope you’d enjoy your special day~
