Due to friends’ unavailable during Christmas period and we decided to celebrate Christmas and friend’s birthday (same day with Zaanse! 27th December) few weeks earlier on 6 December. I made some french macarons (details here) for the tea time, this was also my first time to bake french macarons … For the table setting, I used all the available stuffs in my house included the table runner bought very long time ago and those tea sets bought from a Japanese cafe which having closing sales.
For the tea, I choose the Pure Chamomile Flowers tea from Dilmah which is caffeine-free and added lemon and mint leaves.
Zaanse also joined us for the tea time ~
Friend bought the Christmas Log cake which brought from Rive Gauche in Orchard, one of my favourite bakery shop.
Let’s sing the birthday song for LY, we celebrated her birthday earlier … she has the same birthday date with Zaanse.

It’s time for Christmas Dinner ~ I made the simple table setting by using a gold ribbon (25pcs from Daiso which only costed 2 bucks) to tie the cutlery, placed a napkin between the serving plate and soup dish. After trying different table settings, this was the one I prefer and also easier to set.
I made the roasted pumpkin soup (details here), roasted whole chicken (details here) and salmon pasta salad for the dinner menu. Friends commented the food were nice, great to hear these comments ~ I also thought they were nice :p

After the dinner, it’s time to unwrap the Christmas presents!
Zaanse was so excited!
First, let’s unwrap the presents from XM.
Then, was the present from LY.
These are the presents from daddy’s cousin.
And this was from mummy, actually was chosen from daddy. I had other present in mind to give her … was more on crafting.
While this was from daddy, was a scooter!
These were the small presents I prepared for friends ~ hope they will use them.
And now was the birthday presents unwrap time for LY.
Zaanse also started to explore all the toy presents she received, she liked the drawing board from XM the most!
This was the ginger bread Christmas tree I forgot to take out for dinner, so I take it out the next day ~
