After settled our luggage at Kyoto Kokusai Hotel, we took the train from to Keage station. Kenji bought the 3 days kansai pass, I really fainted when I heard he bought this pass. This pass was worth if you travel outside of Kyoto, e.g. Osaka and Nara etc. He didn’t know the meaning of Kansai ~ see, never done proper research. Kansai cover the prefectures of Mie, Nara, Wakayama, Kyoto, Osaka, Hyōgo, and Shiga. Since the pass already been bought, we just decided to change our plan to go Osaka on the 3rd day.
Keage Incline 蹴上 was a gentle slope, which was built to haul boats between canals of different elevations. It was one of the popular spot for Kyoto spring cherry blossoms. Too bad … this year the cherry blossoms delay, we were not able to see the beautiful cherry blossoms 🙁
